Transition Assessments
It can be difficult to know how effective transition policies and practices are. They may seem to work, but how do we know that families are experiencing a quality transition?
SSECT, in collaboration with the National Early Childhood Transition Technical Assistance Center (NECTTAC), has developed Self Assessment tools for Preschool special education programs, ESS programs and families. These tools are designed to give feedback about what research has shown to be effective practices for smooth and effective transitions as well as assist in gaining the family perspective before and after the transition process.
The family surveys are also available in Spanish.
